A very hot wedding!

Literally! I shot with a very talented photographer,Holly Mikel, a few weekends ago and not only was it just HOT outside, but the reception, held at the Cherotel, had no A/C! The hotel was having problems with their a/c unit and instead of cold air it was pumping out hot air! But that didn't stop the party or anyone from having a great time. Anyway, I just wanted to share a few of my favs...

2 minute session

My brother was apart of his high school friends wedding this past weekend and asked me to take some pictures of him in his tux. I drove the hour it took to get to the reception, which was held at the Wharton County Fairgrounds, so it was pretty far out there! The fair wasn't much to look at, but the beautiful Texas countryside never ceases to inspire me. Luckily I was able to pull my brother away from the booze and women just in time for some amazing sun and cloud action! Although he didn't give me but 2 minutes to shoot! I honestly have to say that that was my shortest session ever!

Anyway, here are the few shots I was able to get out of him :)

NEW CAMERA GEAR!!!!!!

I am sooo excited to announce that I finally got my 5D!!!! I have been wanting one for the longest time! Along with a 580ex II and a 24-70mm 2.8/L and of coarse a new bag! I'm a girl, so no outfit is complete without the right bag! I got to use the 5D at a wedding last weekend, but I would rather share the pictures I took of my little demons. Don't let those sweet faces fool you! They are not innocent!

and this is why I really love it! I shot these at an ISO of 1600! No more noisy images!

I have been second shooting alot lately and I love it! No pressure, no stress, just pure fun! I shot this wedding with Carolyn Jones of Carolyn Jones Photography. The weather was perfect and the couple was adorable! I have several more weddings to post, I am just trying to play catch up so keep checking back!
